The Laughing Tap comedy club presents the best in national, regional and local comedy every weekend! The Laughing Tap is an 18+ venue.

Ticketed shows are every week on weekends. Our Open Mic is free to attend and is every Wednesday (except limited holiday weeks like 4th of July and Christmas). Featuring a full bar featuring craft beer, spirits, mock-tails, and other N/A options.

History
The Laughing Tap was established in 2020 in Walkers Point as a destination for quality live stand up comedy shows. The club quickly rose in popularity amongst audiences and comedians alike, by presenting top-notch events with hundreds of nationally touring comedians in a casual and welcoming environment. The popularity of The Laughing Tap resulted in the company seeking a larger space for live shows in 2025, leading to the move to Downtown, Milwaukee in early 2026.

The Laughing Tap comedy club is run BY comics and comedy fans FOR comics and comedy fans! We are a locally founded and run business presented by Milwaukee Comedy, LLC which has been producing live comedy events for 20 Years including the annual Milwaukee Comedy Festival. The Laughing Tap is owned and operated by Matt Kemple, Kaitlin McCarthy and Greg Bach. We are dedicated to the local comedy scene and the community we live and work in everyday.
